Can I spot coat the area with a thin coat of epoxy?

We do not recommend you spot coat the area.  The epoxy may be unlevel if you do this.  You are welcome to try it but the best way to fix any error is to repour the entire bar.  Often you will readily notice where you have tried to patch problem areas.
