Can I sit hot plates on the countertops once the epoxy is cured?

Yes,  you can sit hot plates on the counter but you want to be careful as epoxy is similar to laminate.  You do not want to sit anything directly out of the oven.  The peak resistance after 100% curing is about 135 degrees Fahrenheit. Never put a hot pan or skillet from the stove directly onto the epoxy.
