Max Mixing Amount for Epoxy.

The epoxy will cure much faster in the container since there is no room for the heat to escape. For that reason we recommend the following:

Seal Coat:
We recommend mixing no more then 16oz. of Hardener + 16oz. of Resin per batch. A smaller batch of 8oz. of Hardener + 8oz. of Resin is best for beginners. You can mix another batch when you run out in the container.

Flood Coat:
We recommend mixing no more then 1/2gal. of Hardener + 1/2gal. of Resin per batch. A smaller batch can be made as long as the mixture is 50/50. NEVER mix up more than 1/2 gallon hardener and 1/2 gallon of resin at a time as it will not blend properly and you will end up with sticky or gooey epoxy that will never cure.

*If you are mixing a smaller amount of epoxy such as 1 quart resin and 1 quart hardener, you will need to mix that by hand for 4 minutes to avoid over mixing from the drill bit as that is only intended for a full gallon size batch.
