Does humidity have an affect on the epoxy curing process?

It can, though it's rare. For optimal curing of epoxy resin, maintain the following conditions:

  • The ideal temperature for curing is 75°F. 70°F to 80°F can work, but it make take a little longer.
  • The ideal humidity is 60% or below. Anything above that has a chance of interfering with the visual clarity of the cure.

This applies to our Primaloc Bar & Table Top Epoxy and our Primaloc Deep Pour Epoxy.

Note: Thermostat readings can vary by location within a room. If it seems like your thermostat tends to be off a big, be sure to adjust it accordingly. For example, if it's in a cooler spot than the epoxy, set it a bit higher than 75°F to compensate. This will account for the difference in temperature between where the thermostat is and where the epoxy project is.
